I Always Wanted to Start My Own Business
Hello friends,
I started reading about the world from as early as 9th grade, and around that time, I came to know about Bill Gates — how he was a college dropout and still went on to build Microsoft.
Then, when I reached 11th grade, the movie The Social Network came out, which was about the story of Facebook. Even in that, Mark Zuckerberg dropped out of college.
Steve Jobs also dropped out of Reed College and went on to build Apple.
So after watching all these movies, I felt like — if such great people are dropping out of college to chase a business idea, then maybe if you start your own business, you don’t really need to go to college or do a job.
That’s why I always wanted to do my own thing.
I started blogging in 11th grade and even began earning money from it. But since I don't come from a business family, I wasn’t able to scale that business. So for the last 9 years, I’ve been doing a job.
A job is okay for a while, but in the end, when you run your own business, you build equity — which is the most valuable thing in today’s capitalist world.
I’m thinking about starting my own business too, but I haven’t yet found a compelling idea.
Still searching.
