How I Got Jealous of a Friend's Appraisal at Nagarro
Hello friends,
My first year at Nagarro wasn't very good. First, I had training in Golang, then in .NET, and finally, I got a project in Java. For about the first 8 months, I was just doing training. Not a single line of my code went into production.
After the first year, when my appraisal happened, I got a 30% hike, which was pretty good. Honestly, I was quite happy. But when I found out that my other batchmates got a 58% hike, I became extremely upset. The biggest mistake here was, why were we even sharing our CTCs (Cost to Company) with each other?
A strong feeling of jealousy emerged after seeing my friends' new CTCs, and I set up a meeting with HR. The HR treated me very poorly, as if I was begging. That's where my ego was triggered, and I went into the market and got an offer for 7.5 LPA CTC. That offer was for Bangalore, so I didn't go, but based on that offer, I got my CTC revised at Nagarro.
This same drama happened every year at Nagarro. No matter how well you performed, Nagarro always showed disrespect during appraisals. That's why, after 3 years, I finally resigned from Nagarro, and I have never looked back.
