There’s a Massive Epidemic of Hero Worship in India
Hello friends,
One thing I’ve observed in India and among Indians is that there’s a massive epidemic of hero worship here.
Whether it’s Virat Kohli in cricket or Narendra Modi in politics, people start worshipping skilled individuals as gods.
Who will win in cricket? – Virat will win.
Who will win in politics? – Modi will win.
But it doesn’t work like that, brother.
If you dump all responsibility on just one person, it’s completely wrong.
Cricket is won by the playing XI, not just by Kohli.
India is run by an entire cabinet of ministers, not just Narendra Modi.
This hero worship stops us from using our own capabilities.
We start thinking that if there’s a problem, some hero will come and solve it.
But that’s not how it works. You have to become your own hero and solve your own problems.
A leader only shows the path, but you’ve got to walk it yourself.
You have to become the hero and win on your own.
I think I gave up hero worship during school itself.
If someone is good at something, praise them—but worshipping them as a hero is wrong.
If you really must consider someone a hero, someone who can change your life—then consider yourself that hero.
If you—reading this blog post—make yourself the hero of your own life, and take full ownership of your problems,
I guarantee that you’ll start finding ways to solve them.
And if you liked what I said—give it a clap! 👏
