I've Never Really Liked Managers

Hello friends,

If you’re working in the corporate world, you’ll have to deal with a certain creature every day—called the manager.

A manager’s job is to assign you tasks, evaluate your performance, and give feedback about you to the company so they can decide how much of an appraisal you deserve.

My first proper manager used to treat me in a very underconfident and demeaning way.

He gave me the worst of the worst work.

Even though I was a developer, he never gave me any development tasks—he would make me do testing instead.

He was extremely selfish, and I didn’t really have any option but to follow his orders—because, after all, I was getting a salary.

I was extremely unhappy in that project, and somewhere deep inside, I had already decided that I would quit the company.

Apart from that, the manager’s behavior and tone of voice were also very low-class.

I really don’t like working with such people, but still, I had to talk to him—because he was my manager.
